Narapuspitan

Narapuspitan is an independent library and public space in Wonosari, Gunungkidul. It is dedicated to promoting literacy, mental well-being, and building meaningful social connections. Founded by Riza Perdana Kusuma in 2025, Narapuspitan was created to be an inclusive place where everyone feels welcome. Visitors from all backgrounds can come here to read, learn, reflect, and have conversations. The library has more than 6,000 curated books, including children’s books, self-development titles, novels, and more. By offering books, community activities, and raising mental health awareness, Narapuspitan has become a special gathering spot for students, young people, professionals, and the local community in Gunungkidul.

What’s Inside

The library has a carefully chosen selection of books on psychology, literature, self-development, philosophy, social issues, and mental health. Visitors can enjoy reading in a peaceful and comfortable setting that encourages reflection and learning.

Entrance Fee

Narapuspitan is open to the public and generally free to access as long as people make a library account. Making it a welcoming destination for anyone interested in reading, learning, or joining community activities. 

Located in Karangkejek, Wonosari, Gunungkidul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta, about one hour from Yogyakarta city center. It adds to the growing number of community-driven cultural and educational spaces in Gunungkidul, making it a worthwhile stop for visitors interested in local initiatives and social impact projects.
