Get to Know Tour de Ambarrukmo
In 2025, Tour de Ambarrukmo returns with a more refined concept and even more challenging routes. This year, the event will explore a new track in the southern part of Yogyakarta, offering two route options: a 138 km course with up to 500 meters above sea level elevation, and a more competitive 155 km route that includes the 13 km Panggang climb and an elevation gain of around 1,000 meters. These routes are designed to test every cyclist’s endurance while showcasing the captivating hills of Yogyakarta.
More than a speed race, the event is also a special opportunity to enjoy the rich culture and nature of Yogyakarta. Participants will be divided into two main categories: KOM (King of Mountain) and QOM (Queen of Mountain), each with clear age group classifications.

The KOM category includes cyclists aged 18 to over 50, while QOM consists of two groups: 18–39 and over 40. Each group has a limited quota, 80 participants per KOM group and 50 per QOM group. Tour de Ambarrukmo Periode
Mark your calendars! Tour de Ambarrukmo 2025 will take place on August 2, 2025, as the highlight of the biggest cycling event in Yogyakarta. The route combines flat and hilly terrain, with a 155 km track for the Race category and a 138 km route for the Regular category. Thousands of cyclists are expected to participate, both from Yogyakarta and other regions.
Before the event, participants are required to collect their race pack from July 30 to August 1, 2025, at the Main Atrium of Plaza Ambarrukmo. The package includes an official jersey, race number, bag, and other race essentials. This race pack collection is also a gathering moment for the cycling community, full of interaction and excitement. Participants can also explore sponsor booths and exclusive merchandise available on-site.
On the race day, participants will start from Pendopo Agung Ambarrukmo, one of Yogyakarta’s cultural icons. With professional escorts and structured time management, riders will pass through various landscapes, from hills and villages to iconic roads across the region.
