Cherrypop Festival is an annual music festival in Yogyakarta, organized by Swasembada Kreasi to celebrate the spirit of youth and subculture. Cherrypop Festival 2025 already held on 9-10 August 2025 at Lapangan Panahan Kenari Yogyakarta, presenting 58 music performers in two days.
For 2025, Cherrypop Festival is collaborating with cross-disciplinary industries such as filmmaking, culinary arts, visual arts, music, and more. Their bold move in 2022 made a significant impact on Yogyakarta’s music ecosystem, evolving into a larger movement each year.
“Gelanggang Musik” becomes the main theme of Cherrypop Festival 2025, reflecting their belief that pop culture trends are not merely aesthetic, they represent a new way of life. These elements range from visual art born in underground scenes to films inspired by small-town unrest.
Arsita Pinandita, Creative Director of Cherrypop, explained that Cherrypop Festival 2025 serves as a platform for all creative ecosystems to meet and grow together.
This year, Cherrypop proudly presents Ardhira Putra as their Commissioned Artist, responsible for creating all visual elements — from digital identities to the festival’s visual needs. Ardhira Putra is known for his signature 80s–90s-inspired artwork, blending city pop, vaporwave, and Asian pop culture into enchanting illustrations.
Barasuara, Perunggu, Rumahsakit, FSTVLST x Angkipu, .Feast, Lomba Sihir, Hivi!, Reality Club, Shaggydog, Bernadya, JKT48, and many more artists will take the stage this weekend. Cherrypop Festival is set to feature two stages, offering a more immersive and diverse music experience for the audience.
