Yogyakarta’s artisan market scene is an exciting area to explore. One of the most popular markets, Pasar Wiguna, recently held its regular event on April 25, 2026, in partnership with VRATA Hotel Yogyakarta and several local communities. Pasar Wiguna Sukaria is becoming a gathering place for the local community, artisan brands, and creative enthusiasts who enjoy spending their Sunday mornings there with fun activities.
Pasar Wiguna Sukaria invited several local groups to join the market, including CherryPop Festival, Doodle Indonesia Chapter Yogyakarta, Klub Buku Yogyakarta, Sekelana, Jogja Women Cyclists, and 26RUN. This edition stood out from previous events. Pasar Wiguna is now helping each group connect and create a more inclusive, interactive experience.

Besides the regular artisan market, visitors known as Kawan Pasar could join a range of activities. These included Sunday morning walks, doodle art, a kids’ olympiad, live sketching, live screen printing, fun zumba, skin and health checks, and spinning sessions. All of these made for a lively and complete experience.
Some of the food vendors at the event were Semmanis Madu, Risol Nyah Liem, Croft, Natureline, Sugabumi, Locta Juicery, Frea’s Pattisserie, Dongeng Kopi, Sego Berkat Warisan Simbah, and Sigma Plus. Their offerings ranged from traditional dishes to modern treats, giving visitors plenty of choices.

Pasar Wiguna Sukaria also held a Wiguna Talks session with two speakers: Experience Designer Anjas Wibisana (@pelesir__) and Renggo Darsono, the founder of Dongeng Kopi (@dongengkopi). They shared their insights on the music and culinary industries, with a special focus on coffee. Looking ahead, Pasar Wiguna is expected to remain a collaborative space that brings communities together and supports the growth of Yogyakarta’s creative economy.
