The Yogyakarta Hotel Public Relations Association, locally known as Himpunan Humas Hotel Yogyakarta (H3Y), has officially launched a new campaign to welcome the school holiday season, titled “Liburan di Jogja.” This campaign aims to strengthen Yogyakarta’s position as the top-of-mind destination for school break holidays in Indonesia.
Several destinations will be the main highlights of the campaign organized by the Himpunan Humas Hotel Yogyakarta (H3Y), including Ledok Sambi Eco Tourism, Wahanarata Museum, MuseumKu Gerabah, Gembira Loka Zoo, Kids Fun Park, and Sanggar Kinanti.

The campaign aims to spotlight Yogyakarta’s natural and educational tourism appeal. This year, a variety of exciting and family-friendly destinations are available for tourists. In recent years, Yogyakarta has built a strong reputation as a cultural and family-friendly travel destination, both domestically and internationally.
“We believe that tourism is one of the lifelines of Yogyakarta. Through the ‘Liburan di Jogja’ campaign, we aim to turn the challenges currently faced by tourism stakeholders into valuable opportunities to collectively promote Yogyakarta as a holiday destination that is not only enjoyable but also meaningful,” said Rasya Ardannary, Chairwoman of Himpunan Humas Hotel Yogyakarta.

To support this initiative, the Yogyakarta Hotel Public Relations Association convened a gathering on June 25, 2025, aiming to engage hotels and tourism stakeholders in amplifying the “Liburan di Jogja” campaign.
Yogyakarta is also widely known as the “Student City” (Kota Pelajar) due to the presence of numerous high-quality educational institutions, ranging from preschools to universities. According to data from the Yogyakarta Tourism Office, approximately 10,583,877 tourists visited Yogyakarta in 2024. This number is expected to steadily increase in 2025, driven by Yogyakarta’s growing array of destinations, events, and tourism potential.
