Grojogan Watu Purbo
Grojogan Watu Purbo is a terraced waterfall in Wonokerto, Turi, Sleman, a 30-minute drive from Kaliurang. It was built to control lahar flows after eruptions from Mount Merapi, but has become a popular spot for nature lovers. With flowing water, fresh air, and beautiful scenery, this place is a favorite for families, photographers, and anyone wanting to experience Yogyakarta’s natural beauty.
Entrance Fee
There is no entrance fee to visit Grojogan Watu Purbo. Parking fees range from IDR 5,000 to IDR 30,000, depending on the type of vehicle.

How to Get There
Located in Wonokerto Village, Turi District, Sleman Regency, Grojogan Watu Purbo is open 24 hours daily. The best time to visit is morning or late afternoon when the weather is cooler, and the scenery is more enjoyable. You can reach it by motorcycle, car, or online transportation. The trip takes about 30 minutes from Kaliurang and 45 to 60 minutes from Yogyakarta city center.
