Kedulan Temple

Kedulan Temple is an ancient Hindu temple in Tirtomartani, Kalasan, Sleman, Yogyakarta. It dates back to the Mataram Kuno period and was found mostly intact under volcanic sediment. Compared to nearby temples, Kedulan is quieter and less crowded, with peaceful rural scenery and fields all around.

What to See

The main building at Kedulan Temple is in good condition and features detailed stone carvings in the Hindu-Javanese style. You can see the base, the stairway, and some reliefs that reflect its history and religious meaning.

Getting There

Kedulan Temple is located in Tirtomartani Village, Kalasan District, Sleman, Yogyakarta. It takes about 30 to 40 minutes to reach the temple from Yogyakarta city center by car or motorcycle.

The temple is easy to reach from the main Yogyakarta–Solo road. It is also near other historical sites like Kalasan Temple and Prambanan Temple, so you can visit several places in one trip.
